Parx Home health is a state licensed and Medicare certified home health agency serving the Treasure Coast of Florida and its surrounding areas, providing quality skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social work and home health aide services.

Parx Home Health, was originally names MiHom Healthcare, was incorporated in December 2003, and has been a trusted resource for home care needs.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive, cost effective and competitively priced home care services that allow patients to remain at home, in their communities. We are committed to fulfill our mission professionally and efficiently while maintaining our reputation and credibility. We are dedicated to assisting patients, their families, the community, other healthcare providers and stakeholders.

Home Skilled Nursing
Our licensed nurses provide skilled care in a variety of ways, which include, wound care, patient teaching about disease processes and medication management. They provide skilled and comprehensive physical assessments, which include monitoring of vital signs, as well as monitoring of cardiac and respiratory status. They provide a variety of treatments, administer oral and intravenous medications and communicate with physicians about the progress of their patients, making it possible for patients to be treated outside of the hospital, while still being cared for by experienced professional nurses.

Home Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists assist patients with regaining strength and in maximizing their rehabilitation potential. Therapy programs are individualized by the therapist and discussed with the patient so that goals can be mutually agreed upon and achieved safely. Therapists assist patients to condition muscles and regain strength after a variety of injuries which include: stroke, motor vehicle accident, heart attack, after falls and after surgery.

Home Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapists assist patients to regain their independence by teaching them to perform functional skills such as bathing, eating, cooking, and many other skills that may be lost during illness. Patients are taught to effectively adapt to their environment and circumstances to the best of their abilities and with the use of assistive devices if needed.

Speech and Language Pathology
Our speech and language pathologists assist patients to regain their ability to speak, swallow, and eat after a stroke or other neurological injuries. Having the ability to communicate and to swallow regular foods places patients well on their way to regaining their independence so that they can continue to reside at home while they recover.

Medical Social Worker
Our medical social workers are experienced and knowledgeable about the many community resources that are available to qualified individuals. They assist patients and their families in dealing with a variety of issues, which include assistance with medications, provision of counseling, assistance with financial matters, transportation, and in accessing educational and treatment resources.

Home Health Aide
Our home health aides assist patients with their activities of daily living while patients are limited in mobility and strength, making it difficult for them to perform such tasks as bathing, grooming, and preparing meals. They foster independence by promoting safety, which allows for patients to heal and recover without excessive worry about how to get their basic needs met.
