About Us
The Kiwanis Club of Stuart is the second oldest established club in the county and has been in existence since March of 1938. Kiwanis is an international organization that empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children. Our local club has for the past 25 years put varying degrees of emphasis in our Park in downtown Stuart. It has truly become a gem of the community over the last 5 years with the renewed efforts of our members. The Kiwanis Club of Stuart started and supports numerous programs in our schools, K-Kids (elementary 4th and 5th graders), Builder’s Club (Middle school) Key Club (high school) and AKtion (adults living with disabilities) to teach how to give back to their schools and communities. We have two major projects through the year that also involve clothing and readying underprivileged children in our community for school, and two major fund raisers: Pancakes & Reading in the Park and our Christmas ornament sales. We meet every Tuesday for lunch at Southern Pig & Cattle, and invite those interested in improving the lives of children to join us.
