Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation Recognizes 2025 Thanks for Giving Honorees

(STUART, Fla. Dec. 19, 2025) – The Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation presented its 2025 Thanks for Giving Awards to two honorees during the Jingle and Mingle reception held on December 10 at The Mayes Center in Stuart. Board member and advocate John Doody and Remnant Construction were honored for their commitment to the Treasure Coast Hospice mission and distinguished service to philanthropy through their time, talent, and treasure.
“Our Thanks for Giving honorees exemplify what it means to be true partners and advocates for our mission,” said Treasure Coast Hospice CEO Jackie Kendrick, CHPCA. “Through their generosity and advocacy, they help make compassionate end-of-life care possible for patients and families in our community.”
A special Thanks for Giving honor, the Joan Hay-Madeira Award, was presented to John Doody for his extraordinary leadership and lasting impact on the organization. Doody began his service to Treasure Coast Hospice in 2011, contributing his time and expertise to both the Operating and Foundation boards. A driving force behind the growth of the Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation, Doody played a pivotal role in shaping its vision and long-term success. Since 2019, Doody has served in multiple officer roles on the Foundation Board, including Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Chairman, providing guidance and strategic leadership during a period of significant growth.
During his tenure, Doody helped launch two initiatives: the President’s Circle, which engages local businesses committed to supporting hospice at $5,000 or more annually and a series of Planned Giving Seminars offered pro bono to the community. For more than 15 years, Doody’s generosity, vision, and passion have strengthened Treasure Coast Hospice’s mission, expanded community awareness, and helped ensure exceptional care for patients and families.
Thanks for Giving Honoree Remnant Construction, LLC, was recognized for the company’s exceptional generosity and longstanding partnership. Under the leadership of CEO Brian Garcia, COO Brandon Nobile, and CFO Mark Bock, Remnant Construction has grown into a dedicated community partner whose advocacy and support have made a lasting impact on Treasure Coast Hospice’s mission. The relationship began in 2017 when Remnant Construction completed renovation work at all three Treasure Coast Hospice Inpatient Units, offering substantial discounts and encouraging other vendors to do the same, setting the foundation for a partnership built on compassion and shared purpose.
Since making its first financial gift in 2018, Remnant Construction has remained a steadfast supporter of the Treasure Coast Hospice Foundation. The company joined the President’s Circle in 2020 and continues its involvement today at the Sapphire level, with lifetime giving exceeding $60,000. Beyond financial contributions, Remnant Construction’s leadership team, staff members, families, and business partners actively support Treasure Coast Hospice as sponsors, participants, and volunteers at events such as the Sporting Clay Tournament, Lakeside Stroll, Ranch Roundup, and the Children’s Holiday Party. Through their ongoing engagement and commitment to building meaningful relationships, Remnant Construction continues to strengthen Treasure Coast Hospice’s ability to serve patients and families throughout the community.
The reception was graciously underwritten by Feiertag Financial Group, The Ngo Group Illustrated Properties Real Estate, Seacoast Bank, The Estate Trust & Elder Law Firm, P.I., Jacobs & Jacobs, P.A., and Evergreen Private Care.
