Firm Attorney Austin R. Diaz secured a $550,000 settlement for a client who suffered significant injuries when a distracted driver struck her vehicle at full speed while she was stopped at a red light.
The complex case involved multiple defendants, layers of insurance coverage and several carriers disputing responsibility. Austin’s persistence, strategic negotiations and his client’s trust in his advice not to accept earlier offers ultimately increased her recovery by an additional $200,000.
The settlement provided meaningful compensation after an especially difficult year for the client and her family. |

Beyond the Classroom: A Summer of
Practical Legal Experience

This summer, University of Miami School of Law student Isabel McGinty gained practical legal experience while serving as a Law Clerk in our West Palm Beach office. From conducting legal research and reviewing medical records to observing depositions, mediations and client meetings, Isabel gained insight into many different aspects of personal injury practice.
“The most valuable part of my clerkship was being able to contribute rather than simply observe,” Isabel shared.
