Dear Friends,
August was a month of transition and momentum as families geared up for back-to-school routines and the excitement of football season returned, while I prepared for committee weeks beginning in October.
I was proud to stay active in the community by attending a wide range of events, from Chamber of Commerce legislative updates that connected local businesses with policy discussions to impactful human trafficking awareness events that highlighted the importance of protecting our most vulnerable.
As summer comes to a close, I’m also looking forward to another busy month working with constituents and colleagues on solutions for the property tax situation. I’m honored to serve as co-chair and lead the discussion at the upcoming property tax committee meeting in mid-September as we continue building on the work ahead.

This month included the Airboats & Pythons event at the Miccosukee Reservation in the central Everglades, which turned into an unforgettable adventure. The day combined hands-on conservation with a closer look at Florida’s invasive species crisis. A true highlight came when a massive python was caught! It was an eye-opening reminder of the challenges our state faces in protecting its delicate ecosystem. Experiences like this not only bring awareness but also reinforce the importance of safeguarding Florida’s natural treasures. |

We are excited to welcome Blake Cross as our new legislative aide to the District 85 team! Blake is no stranger to our office as he previously served as an intern and has volunteered for numerous campaigns, including mine! His passion for public service and commitment to our community have been clear from the start.
Blake recently completed his first degree in Political Science and is close to finishing his bachelor’s in Public Administration. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his girlfriend and watching sports.

Recently, a young mother reached out to our office for assistance with her unemployment claim. With back-to-school quickly approaching, she was in dire need of her funds to prepare her children for the new school year. Our team was able to step in, provide support, successfully resolve her claim, and help ensure her family had what they needed. Stories like this remind us why constituent services are such a vital part of our work. |

As always, thank you for your continued support and faith in my leadership! I look forward to sharing with you again soon.
Sincerely,
