As the state begins to assess the damage from Hurricane Helene's impact, please continue to follow local guidelines regarding returning to affected areas and assisting with cleanup efforts, ensuring the safety of all residents and first responders. 

Business Damage Assessment Survey:
FloridaCommerce and the State Emergency Response Team (SERT) activated the Business Damage Assessment Survey in response to Hurricane Helene. Business owners can self-report physical and economic damage caused by Hurricane Helene. Survey responses will allow the state to expedite Hurricane Helene recovery efforts by gathering data and assessing the needs of impacted businesses.

Businesses can complete the survey online by visiting FloridaDisaster.biz and selecting “Hurricane Helene” from the dropdown menu.

Private Sector Coordination Call:The State Emergency Response Team (SERT) will host a daily private sector coordination call from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., Eastern Time, beginning Friday, September 27, 2024. Briefings will be provided from Emergency Support Functions and private sector partners.

ESF-18:
The ESF-18 team is available to respond to any questions, concerns, or unmet needs of the business community. We encourage our private sector partners to reach out to us with business open/close status reports and any unmet needs you may have via the Private Sector Hotline at 850-815-4925, open daily 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or by email at esf18@em.myflorida.com.

Road and Bridge Closures:
The  Florida Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to download the FL511 app or visit FL511.com for road and bridge closures and potential detours that may be activated. Remember to always follow the direction of local law enforcement and emergency personnel.    

State Assistance Information Line (SAIL):
Residents needing resources before & after Tropical Storm Helene can call 1-800-342-3557. There are English, Spanish & Creole speakers available to answer questions.

Florida's Price Gouging Hotline:
Report violations online or via the Attorney General's Price Gouging Hotline at 1-866-966-7226. 
 

Partner Actions: VISIT FLORIDA will continue updating the Current Travel Safety Information page with the latest details for both residents and visitors, and stay in close contact with the Florida Division of Emergency Management and ESF-18 to provide whatever assistance we can. 

The Emergency Accommodations Portals will remain open to provide real-time information on hotel availability for any residents or visitors seeking a place to stay.
