Why September 26th at Epic Theatres matters

Dear Friends,

I want to share a story with you.

Back in March of 2023, my friend Paige invited me to something called the Food for Thought Friend-Raiser Breakfast. I had no idea what to expect. I thought it would be a typical networking event. But what I experienced that morning was life-changing.

But what I saw that morning, I could never unsee—or unlearn.

It wasn’t about the breakfast or the coffee. It was the message. The raw truth about what Family Promise of Martin County was shining a light on—families right here in our community, working hard, but unable to keep a roof over their heads.

It hit me straight in the heart.

Fast forward a year later—I was looking for a way to give back. That search turned into a calling, and eventually a position as Director of Programs for Family Promise. Because of my background in coaching and human performance, I knew this was where I was supposed to be.

So why am I telling you this?

Because on Friday, September 26th, from 6–8:30 PM at Epic Theatres of Stuart, you’ll have the same opportunity I had—a chance to witness the truth, feel the stories, and join a movement that’s making a real difference in our community.

The Voice of Promise Live Event is the premiere of the Dear Someone Project Season 3 Finale. This project has been two years in the making—built with love, pain, and purpose. And it’s not just a film screening. It's a unique experience that will leave you inspired and moved.

Here’s what you’ll experience:

  • 🎥 The never-before-seen finale episode of Dear Someone Project Season 3
  • 🎤 A live panel of nonprofit leaders, surprise guests, and families who’ve lived these stories
  • 🍴 Light food, drinks, and the chance to connect with others who care deeply about our community

This is more than an event—it’s a chance to step into the conversation, to understand the problem, and to be part of the solution.

👉 Tickets are just $25. I urge you to grab one, or better yet, grab four, and bring your friends and family. Let’s fill the theater and show that Martin County stands up for its families.

At Family Promise of Martin County, our mission is to help children and their families experiencing homelessness transition into a home of their own—and stay there.

We serve families led by full-time, working parents from our local community who are doing their best to provide for their children. To support lasting housing stability, we offer temporary shelter, transitional housing, intensive case management, meals, financial literacy, and educational support.

Our work is made possible through a caring network of congregations, dedicated volunteers, and generous community support. Together, we’re helping families build a path toward long-term independence and stability.
