FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 26, 2024

Stuart, FL - The Martin County School District (MCSD) is pleased to announce that all schools and district offices will reopen on Friday, September 27, 2024. After carefully assessing the weather conditions and consulting with local emergency management officials, it has been determined that it is safe to resume normal operations.

While we were forecasted to experience frequent high wind speeds, we are fortunate that our area appears to have been spared from the worst of the potential impact of this extremely powerful storm.

It is important for students to return to class on Friday, as learning continues and attendance is essential to their success. Our teachers and staff are ready to provide a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students as we return to our regular schedule.

The district encourages all families to ensure their students attend school on Friday and to reach out to their schools if they need assistance or have any concerns.
