Stuart, FL - The Martin County School District (MCSD) will close all District-operated schools and facilities on Thursday, September 26, 2024 due to the forecasted impact of Hurricane Helene. The decision is based on the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and local emergency management officials. Wind speeds throughout tomorrow morning are projected to exceed limits for school bus operation, making it unsafe for transportation.

The Martin County School District will continue to work closely with local emergency management officials to track the storm and will provide further information regarding District operations beyond Thursday as it becomes available.

Families are urged to monitor the District's website at www.martinschools.org, social media channels, and the District's automated messaging system for updates. Families and employees wishing to enroll in message notifications should text START to 98900.
