How Small Businesses are Winning Under the New Tax Law
Main Street companies across the country are investing and innovating.
Pro-growth tax reform passed in July is already having a positive impact across America. Small business leaders shared how they are reinvesting, innovating, and driving economic prosperity in their communities.

Why it matters: The One Big Beautiful Bill Act empowers small businesses by providing the clarity and stability needed to plan with confidence. The legislation strengthens communities, fuels job creation, and secures America’s position as a global economic leader.

Success Stories from Main Street:
  • Natalie Kaddas, CEO of Kaddas Enterprises in Utah, shared how her company is upgrading operations and investing in her team, which makes energy-resiliency equipment sold worldwide. This turnaround was made possible by the elimination of a 35% effective tax hike that previously required amortizing R&D expenses instead of expensing them immediately.
  • Traci Tapani, co-owner of Wyoming Machine in Minnesota, is leveraging the law’s 100% bonus depreciation to purchase a new fiber optic laser welding machine. This investment will boost productivity and address the shortage of highly trained welders.
  • Mike Zaffaroni, owner of Liberty Landscape Supply in Florida, is tackling long-awaited projects, including a $100,000 enterprise software upgrade, truck purchases, and new hires to meet customer demand. These investments are supported by the certainty provided through the permanent 20% small business deduction for sole proprietors, partnerships, and S corporations.
Big picture: Pro-growth tax reform is a game-changer for small businesses. By fostering a competitive tax code, this legislation ensures that American small businesses continue to be the backbone of local economies.
