Proposed Millage Rates & Budget Hearings
Martin County's ten (10) Taxing Authorities (who levy property taxes against your property) have submitted their 2026 proposed millage rates. Soon they will hold PUBLIC HEARINGS to adopt their budgets and their proposed tax rates. The purpose of the PUBLIC HEARINGS is to answer any questions from the public PRIOR TO TAKING FINAL ACTION. Once the proposed rates are adopted, they will be used to calculate your final property taxes that will be reflected on your November tax bill.
The handout below illustrates the 2026 proposed millage rates and their percent change from the rolled-back rate. Any increase in the millage rate above the rolled-back rate is defined as a tax increase by the Florida Department of Revenue and will have to be adopted as such. |
