Dear Fellow Floridian,
Ann and I are incredibly blessed with the opportunity to donate my Senate salary every quarter to give back to organizations and nonprofits that serve our communities and do meaningful work. This week, we announced a donation to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
This museum does incredible work to help every generation understand the atrocities of the Holocaust by sharing the stories of those who survived and those who were murdered, providing critical resources to educators, and reminding each of us what it means when we say ‘Never Again.’ Their dedication to shining a light on this evil is more important than ever as we approach the second anniversary of October 7th and continue to see a disgusting and unacceptable rise in antisemitism in our nation and around the globe.
Ann and I will always stand with our Jewish community and against hate and evil in every form, and are proud to support the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s meaningful work defending the truth of the Holocaust and their important efforts to teach its relevance for today.

Sincerely,

Rick Scott

Sen. Rick Scott to DHS: We Must Review CA Disaster Funding After State and Local Botched Response to Wildfires
Senator Rick Scott sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem thanking her for the great work to streamline the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to respond effectively and quickly to natural disasters, including the California wildfires earlier this year. In his letter, Senator Scott also requests additional transparency on funding allocated to California over the past ten years, noting that, despite California receiving ample federal funds for wildfire management, repression, and response, these funds do not appear to have been used wisely or appropriately by California and the city of Los Angeles this year.
This letter builds on Senator Scott’s work to get answers and support for the victims of the California wildfires in January 2025. Last week, Senator Scott joined Spencer Pratt (media personality and co-host of the 'Fame Game’ podcast) in the Pacific Palisades for a tour of destruction from these deadly fires, and is working on Congressional action to get answers and support victims, including new legislation to provide disaster tax relief for victims, and has requested a briefing on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) National Response Team’s investigation of the causes and contributing factors of the wildfires.

Sen. Rick Scott Announces Senate Salary Donation to United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
Senator Rick Scott and Mrs. Ann Scott announced the donation of a portion of his Senate Salary to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, which teaches millions of people each year about the dangers of unchecked antisemitism and hatred and the ongoing relevance of the Holocaust. Senator Scott has donated his Senate salary since taking office in 2019.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Ann and I are proud to support the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Years ago, Ann and I brought our daughters to the Auschwitz memorial and museum in Poland because it was so important to us that they learned about the Holocaust and understood the horrors that occurred. It's so important that every generation understands the atrocities of the Holocaust, and the museum does an incredible job teaching those lessons to millions of people every year. By sharing the stories of those who survived and those who were murdered, providing critical resources to educators, and reminding each of us what it means when we say ‘Never Again,’ it is a vital institution. Their dedication to shining a light on this evil is more important than ever as we are witnessing a disgusting rise in antisemitism in our nation and around the globe. As we approach the second anniversary of October 7th, Ann and I are proud to support the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s meaningful work defending the truth of the Holocaust and their important efforts to teach its relevance for today."

Sen. Rick Scott Visits Japan and Philippines to Shore Up Allies in Fight Against Communist China

Senator Rick Scott, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower, visited Japan and the Philippines to reinforce our military and economic alliance and support President Trump’s vital work in the region. These countries are the United States’ greatest allies in the Indo-Pacific region as we strive for the global defense against the threat of our enemy, Communist China, and ensure the security of American families and the American way of life as President Trump pursues Peace Through Strength policies. During this trip, Senator Scott met with foreign leaders and visited American servicemen and women stationed in Okinawa who play a crucial role in protecting the region and the globe against the threat of Xi Jinping and the Chinese Communist Party. Senator Scott also met with key economic stakeholders in the region and visited the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center to discuss continued growth of these critical relationships.
Senator Rick Scott said, ”I had the great opportunity to visit Japan and the Philippines, two of our most vital allies in our fight against the encroaching influence and threat of Communist China on the global stage. As the Chair of the Senate Armed Services’ Subcommittee on Seapower, I know it is more important than ever that we join with our allies in the region to push back and contain this threat and work together to invest in mutually rewarding enterprises, like development in Subic Bay and strong trade relations. I was honored to meet with the U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines, Ambassador MaryKay L. Carson, Philippine National Defense Secretary Teodoro, U.S. Ambassador to Japan, George Glass, and other leaders to discuss our shared commitment to defense and economic development and to reinforce our close and vital relationships. I also had the great opportunity to meet with American servicemen and women who were stationed abroad serving our great nation in critical missions, and to honor those who have fallen.
“I visited the Philippines in 2023 and Japan in 2022, and this recent trip reinforced my takeaway from those trips: America cannot take its eyes off this region or the increased aggression shown by Communist China and the threat it poses to our economy, our military, and the world. It is more important than ever to have a close economic relationship with our allies and keep a strong military force in the region. Thankfully, we have President Trump in the White House, who is fully committed to ensuring the United States has the strongest military force, enforcing Peace Through Strength, and working with our allies to protect America’s best interests around the world. I will continue working with President Trump, my colleagues, and our allies to deter threats to the American way of life, to the world, and all freedom-loving countries.”
