Joseph - The sugar industry claims that the Southland Rock mine—proposed to be built just 1,000 feet from the EAA Reservoir which is the single most important project for Everglades restoration– would not have a negative impact on our restoration efforts.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, however, has a different perspective. There are real, credible concerns about this mine that must be addressed.
