The Catastrophic Medical Malpractice Team Fighting for Florida Families
|
|
 |
| Nurse Paralegal Eileen Bajak, Firm Partner Mike Baxter and Paralegal Deysy Garcia celebrate one year of impactful work on our Catastrophic Medical Malpractice Team, helping clients and families seek answers, accountability and justice. |
|
When catastrophic medical malpractice changes a family’s life, the case demands experience, compassion and a team that knows how to uncover what went wrong.
As our Catastrophic Medical Malpractice Team marks its first year with the firm, Partner Mike Baxter, Nurse Paralegal Eileen Bajak and Paralegal Deysy Garcia reflect on the complex work they do for Florida families, the medical insight behind their case preparation, and the client relationships that drive their pursuit of justice.
Before representing victims of medical negligence, Baxter spent 16 years defending hospitals and healthcare providers. That experience gives him a rare and powerful perspective when evaluating and preparing catastrophic medical malpractice cases for injured patients and their families.
“I have the perspective of somebody who successfully defended hospitals and health care providers for 16 years,” Baxter said. “I’m already trained to think about what the other side is going to argue.”

|
|
We are proud to share that Firm Attorney Austin R. Diaz has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Human Resources Center.

The Hispanic Human Resources Center plays a vital role in our community by providing quality early childhood education, comprehensive family support services, workforce readiness programs, and access to essential social services that help families build stable and successful futures.
We are honored to support this important work, starting with HHRC’s Mini Golf Tournament at PopStroke on June 11. It will be a great opportunity to connect, have fun, and support a meaningful cause.
Please join us in congratulating Austin on this well-deserved appointment! |

I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Austin R. Diaz. Mr. Diaz took on my personal injury case his very first day at the law firm.
He kept me informed by email and telephone of all matters involving my case. I suffered two serious neck fractures from a fall on concrete steps. Within a short period of time, a demand letter was issued to the insurance adjuster. When the demand letter was not responded to, Mr. Diaz immediately contacted the adjuster. Within a short time an offer was made, but it was not acceptable.
Mr. Diaz worked tirelessly to achieve what I deserved. Mr. Diaz not only exceeded what I expected from the case he requested an additional day or two to try and achieve more. Mr. Diaz then contacted me a day later with an additional increase to the offer.
Mr. Diaz is an attorney who will work tirelessly for you and fight for you till the end. This law firm from what I understand gets their clients on a referral basis. You will not hear them on TV or radio like you do other firms. This law firm is over and above all other firms who speak highly of themselves on TV and radio.
If you are injured or have other legal matters contact Mr. Diaz at Lesser Landy Smith & Siegel PLLC if you want to be treated like the most important person in the world. Other people who need to be thanked are Mr. Gary S Lesser, Kathleen Woltz, Kristina Feola and Glenda Montes de Oca. Thank you very much. |

Gary Lesser Joins American Heart Association Executives with Heart Campaign
|
|
Managing Partner Gary Lesser is proud to support the American Heart Association - Florida as a member of the Executives with Heart campaign, an initiative that brings business and community leaders together to raise awareness and funds for lifesaving heart health education, research and outreach.
For Gary, this mission is deeply personal. His family has lost many loved ones to heart health issues, including his maternal grandfather, who died after suffering multiple heart attacks when Gary was just 10 years old.
“I remember wondering then, and still wonder now, how did that happen?” Lesser said. “Education about healthy living choices, CPR, medical research and prevention can help save lives.”
Gary is a longtime supporter of the Executives with Heart campaign and served as its Chair from 2019-2021. He invites friends, colleagues and community members to join him in supporting this lifesaving mission by making a donation to the American Heart Association. Together, we can help create a healthier future for families throughout Florida and beyond. |
