Dear Fellow Floridian,
Throughout the month of May, we celebrate Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to recognize the incredible contributions of Jewish Americans.
The contributions of Jewish Americans have been critical to our republic since our founding era; they have helped secure and defend our freedom and build the strong, prosperous America we enjoy today. Now, with antisemitism on the rise around the country and the world, it is more important than ever to stand with our Jewish fellow citizens here in the United States against discrimination, hate, and violence.
This week, I spoke on the Senate floor honoring Jewish American Heritage Month with the unanimous passage of my bipartisan resolution in recognition of this month and condemning all forms of antisemitism. With the unanimous passage of this resolution, we reaffirmed our nation’s commitment to standing with our Jewish community and our ally, Israel. Last week, I sent a letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche thanking the Department of Justice for investigating the recent antisemitic activity in New York City.
As your United States Senator, I am proud to represent Jewish communities across the state as we recognize Jewish American Heritage Month. I will never stop fighting to support our great ally, Israel, and protect Jewish families in Florida and across our nation.
