A. Duda & Sons, Inc. Celebrates 100th Anniversary
Last month, the Real Estate Group of A. Duda & Sons, Inc. (DUDA) gathered at the Brevard Zoo with approximately 300 team members to celebrate a century of the company’s operations. The event was led by DUDA CEO Sammy Duda, Chief Legal & Administrative Officer Tracy Duda-Chapman, and Todd Pokrywa..
DUDA is a family-owned business established by Andrew Duda, who emigrated from Slovakia to the United States in 1909 to pursue his American dream. In 1926, Andrew and his three sons, John, Andrew Jr., and Ferdinand, harvested their first cash crop from their 40-acre celery farm in Oviedo.
The business expanded rapidly and, in the 1980s, a vision emerged for a master-planned community on their Cocoa ranch. As a result, the Viera community was founded in 1989 alongside Viera Builder, Viera Pool and Outdoor Living, Duran Golf Club, Viera Commercial Properties, and Addison Village Club were formed.
To everyone at DUDA, congratulations on this exciting milestone. To read more about the company’s history, click here.
