Bender Family Campus
in Stuart Welcomes Four New Residents
This week marked a special milestone for Place of Hope and Villages of Hope as we proudly welcome the first four residents to our Smith Brothers Family Foundation Residences in our Lane Family on our Bender Family Campus (made possible by John & Bobbi Erbey) in Stuart.
This exciting moment marks another important step forward in our mission to provide hope, healing, and a brighter future for youth in need throughout our community.
The opening of these residences reflects the continued growth of our campuses and our commitment to creating safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive.
This home will provide a safe and supportive environment where these young men can find stability, encouragement, and opportunities for personal growth as they begin a new chapter filled with hope, healing, and possibility.
With access to mentorship, guidance, and valuable life resources, these young adults will be empowered to build confidence, pursue their goals, and create a strong foundation for the future. |

As we closed out April and kick off the month of May, we closed the book on 25 years as an organization and we open a new chapter as we look ahead to an exciting 26th year!
Over the past 25 years, that vision has been strengthened by the unwavering support of our donors, sponsors, staff and volunteers.
As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to a legacy to provide hope, healing and bright future for those we serve. |

For 25 years, Place of Hope has remained dedicated to providing safe housing, support, and life-changing opportunities for children and young adults impacted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, poverty, domestic violence, and human trafficking.
As the organization celebrates its silver anniversary, it continues to expand its mission with a focus on transforming even more young lives through compassionate care, education, mentoring, and family-style foster communities.
This milestone reflects not only the impact made over the past two decades, but also the growing need for hope and healing in our communities.
From the welcoming homes at our campuses to the countless success stories of children finding stability and brighter futures, every contribution helps create lasting change.
Together, supporters, partners, and advocates are helping build a future where every child has the opportunity to feel safe, valued, and empowered to succeed. |

Place of Hope is honored to share a very special update that reflects both the strength of our mission and the lives it continues to transform: Will Clervil Tiano has been newly appointed to our Board of Directors.
This appointment holds deep significance for our organization. Will’s connection to Place of Hope is not only professional, but profoundly personal. Having grown up within our care, he experienced firsthand the stability, guidance, and support that our staff and programs are dedicated to providing every child who comes through our doors. His journey represents the long-term impact of consistent care, mentorship, and opportunity.
To now welcome him into a leadership role on our Board of Directors is a powerful full-circle moment. It reflects not only his individual achievements and commitment to service, but also the lasting influence of our mission across generations.
Will’s appointment is a reminder of what is possible when young people are given safety, encouragement, and the opportunity to thrive.
We are proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to the impact he will make in this new role. |

Human trafficking is closer than you think.
It is not just something that happens across borders or in faraway places. It is happening in our communities—often hidden in plain sight. It can look like child abuse, sexual exploitation, grooming, and the targeting of vulnerabilities.
Awareness is the first step toward prevention.
Take action. Learn the signs. Have conversations. Protect your children.
If you want to learn more or find out how to safeguard your family and community, contact us. Together, we can bring light to what is too often kept in the dark. 💛 |
