April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month! How Place of Hope is Focusing on Hope

A Message From Founding CEO, Charles Bender:

This month we are launching our Focus on Hope initiative at Place of Hope. Among other exciting communications, we will highlight selected “scriptures of the month” to read, consider, pray about, apply, and show gratitude toward. We will reference scripture coinciding with our specific mission focus each month. For instance, this month (April) is National Child Abuse Prevention Month (a time when child welfare ministries and missions across the U.S. elevate the importance of programs that truly lift, bless, and place children and families first).

Consequently, I have chosen the following two scriptures as the foundation of our April 2024 efforts and Focus on Hope reflections.

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.”
Matthew 18:10

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
James 1:27 (a Place of Hope founding scripture)

Please continue to support and pray for our growing and expanding mission at Place of Hope, and those we together lift and serve, as we plan, develop, and dedicate more critically needed housing and resources regionally. Also, please celebrate with us, all that God is doing and the amazing people in our community stepping up to make it all possible. God’s Children. Our Future.

Focusing on Hope,
