The Everglades Foundation is proud to announce the launch of “Everglades Stories,” a captivating series of 20 short videos documenting the diverse and compelling stories of individuals living across the Everglades watershed. The project aims to showcase the profound ways in which people connect with the Everglades.
 
Check out the webpage featuring an interactive map of Florida, allowing you to click on different regions and delve into the captivating narratives. Governor's FY '24-25 Budget Investment
 
 
 
On Monday, April 22, Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference in West Palm Beach to announce this year's major investment for Everglades restoration and water quality improvement projects. Following the Governor’s remarks, CEO Eric Eikenberg spoke about the historic investment and restoration progress.
 
 
 
Governor DeSantis continues his unwavering commitment to the Everglades, showcasing the $740 investment in the 2024-2025 budget for Everglades restoration.
 
“Not only does this budget fulfill the Governor’s momentous promise to protect and preserve this one-of-a-kind natural resource, but it means that the forward progress we are seeing on restoration will continue."

The Everglades Literacy Program was recently invited by school board member, Luisa Santos to be honored at the Miami-Dade County Public School Board Meeting as a Local Sustainability Education Champion for the district.
 
Congratulations, Education team for bringing Everglades Literacy to teachers and students across Miami-Dade and throughout the state of Florida. We are thankful for the support we receive and to work with environmentally focused individuals and organizations like Dream in Green, CLEO Institute, and Food Rescue US which were also recognized!
