Dear Fellow Floridian,
This weekend, I am continuing my fight to get the SAVE America Act passed in the Senate. Floridians and Americans across the country are rightly concerned about illegal aliens voting in our elections, and I agree!
I made a promise to you that I would not stop until we get this commonsense bill passed, and I am committed to delivering on that. Here’s an update on what happened this week and what’s next:
On Tuesday, I spoke on the floor, demanding that we pass the SAVE America Act. I reminded my Democrat colleagues that requiring an ID to vote and proof of citizenship to register in our elections is common sense. In fact, it’s something Americans do every day, whether they are driving, buying a lottery ticket, or opening a bank account. Watch the full speech HERE. The question is: when will Sen. Schumer and D.C. Democrats get on board? What’s clear is they’re opposed to this bill because they’re worried about what happens if illegal aliens can’t vote. They’re afraid it’ll cost them an election! Bottom line: we were ALL sent to Washington to represent the AMERICANS who voted for us. It’s time D.C. Democrats wake up and realize that, starting with passing the SAVE America Act!

Senator Rick Scott announced the introduction of his Unifying American Security Interests (UASI) Act and the Sanctuary Jurisdiction Event Security Enhancement Act to crack down on sanctuary cities and stop them from using federal tax dollars to put criminal illegal aliens over the American people.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Democrat politicians are putting illegal aliens first and the American people last, harboring criminals in sanctuary cities where they refuse to enforce our laws. President Trump is doing his part by securing the border, now Congress must pass my bills to hold sanctuary cities and states accountable by withholding federal tax dollars until they cooperate with federal law enforcement.”

Senator Rick Scott sent a letter to the heads of the Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, and Food and Drug Administration calling for a review of the Chinese Communist Party’s involvement in the United States’ clinical trials and drug approvals. In his letter, Senator Scott called on agency heads to consider the risks this poses to America’s national security, American jobs, and patient safety.
