Madison's Miracles presents a Cuddle Cot to Jupiter Medical Center

On October 29, 2024, Brooks Wilson Scott was unexpectedly born sleeping to his loving parents, Ashley and Will. He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches long. At Jupiter Medical Center, the CuddleCot provided the Scott family with the precious gift of time with Brooks. Upon learning that the hospital had only one, they were determined to ensure that every family facing similar heartbreak could have the same opportunity.

In less than 48 hours, the Scotts raised enough funds to donate a brand-new CuddleCot, and nearly four months to the day, Madison's Miracles, Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., and the Scott family presented it to the hospital in Brooks' name. The family's generosity not only honored their son but also sparked lasting change. Jessica, the nurse who cared for Brooks and his family, was so deeply moved by their experience that she is now leading bereavement training for all Labor and Delivery nurses, ensuring that families navigating loss receive the compassion and support they need.

Thank you to Jupiter Medical Center and the Labor and Delivery team for providing a supportive space for this meaningful donation. A heartfelt thank you to the Scott family for their incredible generosity - this precious gift will forever impact families, offering comfort and time when they need it the most.

Rallying for Maternity Care in Martin County

Local news outlets like CBS12, TCPalm, and The Palm Beach Post have played a crucial role in raising awareness about the upcoming closure of the labor and delivery unit at Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital.

As a community, we remain hopeful that—alongside our dedicated stakeholders—we can find a solution before the April 1 closure of this essential unit.

At Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., we are leading a community-driven initiative to address this gap in care. Plans for a new maternity center are already in motion—an urgent resource our community needs. Our commitment is unwavering: every family in Martin County deserves access to compassionate, high-quality maternity care.
