Dear Fellow Floridian,
Whether at the barber shop, grocery store, or my local coffee shop, Floridians want to know what’s going on with the SAVE America Act. As you know, I’ve been proud to support this good bill and the fight to secure our elections for years because I believe that it is critical to save our country.
Requiring an ID to vote and proof of citizenship to register in our elections is common sense. Think about it: your local, state, and federal elected leaders are there to put AMERICANS first. I can’t understand why anybody would want to jeopardize that by allowing illegal aliens to vote in our elections. Unfortunately, we’re seeing opposition from Democrats in Washington who want to turn a blind eye to fraud and allow business as usual. But we can’t have that!
I’m fighting to Make Washington Work for Floridians, and they have spoken loud and clear! You deserve to be able to trust that your vote counts. That’s why I’m going to do everything I can to get the SAVE America Act passed next week. Rest assured, I won’t stop until we get this done and deliver for Florida families!
Sincerely,

Sen. Rick Scott Takes Action to Claw Back Taxpayer Dollars Wasted on Fraud

Senator Rick Scott introduced the Federal Taxpayer Funds Protection and Clawback Act to crack down on states’ mismanagement of federal taxpayer dollars, as recently seen in Democrat-run states like Minnesota and California. This bill would allow the federal government to claw back money distributed through states and pass-through programs that support fraudulent activity.
Senator Rick Scott said, “Years of reckless spending in Washington have pushed our country over $38 trillion in debt, causing the cost of living to soar and leaving American families struggling to make ends meet. While President Trump is working hard to turn our economy around, Democrats in Washington and across the country make it harder when they look the other way as up to 10% of our federal budget goes toward waste, fraud, and abuse in their own backyards. What we’re uncovering in Minnesota and California is just the start. At the end of the day, it is taxpayers whose money is wasted and who suffer from reduced services and broken trust.
“My Federal Taxpayer Funds Protection and Clawback Act holds states accountable by clawing back every dime wasted on fraud and redirecting these funds to pay off our national debt, getting us one step closer to balancing our budget and making sure every American’s tax dollars are used to benefit them.”

Chairman Scott, Ranking Member Gillibrand Highlight CLEAR LABELS Act in ABC News Interview on Securing U.S. Drug Supply Chain

Chairman Rick Scott and Ranking Member Kirsten Gillibrand sat down with ABC7’s Lisa Fletcher to discuss their new bipartisan, bicameral CLEAR LABELS Act. This bill would require country-of-origin labeling for prescription medicines and their ingredients, ensuring Americans know exactly where the drugs in their medicine cabinets are produced.
The CLEAR LABELS Act will bring greater transparency to the pharmaceutical supply chain, helping patients, pharmacists, and other purchasers make more informed decisions about the medications they rely on while supporting American jobs, strengthening domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing, and rebuilding a secure and reliable U.S. supply chain so families can have confidence that their medicines are safe, properly regulated, and clearly labeled. Currently, many prescription drugs and their ingredients are manufactured overseas, particularly in Communist China and India, while federal labeling requirements are leaving patients, pharmacists, and healthcare providers in the dark about where these medicines come from.
