Lives Are Being Transformed Because of Your Generosity!

This week we celebrate a milestone that fills us with great pride and hope. 🏡✨

We are thrilled to celebrate our sixth young adult from Villages of Hope who is transitioning into their very own home. Moments like this remind us why the work of Place of Hope matters so deeply.

Villages of Hope (VOH), a sister entity of Place of Hope, was created to support youth who have aged out of foster care or who have experienced instability, homelessness, or poverty. Through safe housing, mentorship, life skills training, educational support, and employment guidance, VOH equips young adults with the tools they need to build stable and independent lives.

Since 2006, Villages of Hope has transitioned into healthy adulthood over 388 youth who without support, 60% would have been incarcerated, pregnant or homeless within 12-18 months.

For many of these youth, the journey has not been easy. However, with the right support system, opportunity, and encouragement, they are able to rewrite their stories and build a brighter future.

Victorious, a determined young single mother, is a powerful example of what is possible.

Through hard work and perseverance, and with the support of our Independent Living Program, she has built a strong foundation for herself and her child. Soon she will be stepping into a new chapter: homeownership.

We are incredibly grateful to work along side Habitat for Humanity, whose mission aligns beautifully with ours. VOH intentionally prepares our youth for these fundamental steps to adulthood. Together we are not simply building houses.

We are building stability, opportunity, and hope for the future.

🏀 Hoops for Hope + Kids Helping Kids! 💛

This past weekend, more than two dozen teams took the court at the Upper School at The Benjamin School for Hoops for Hope, a 3-on-3 “Kids Helping Kids” tournament supporting two nonprofits — one in Kenya and one right here in our backyard.

Together, these incredible young leaders and their supporters raised an amazing $100,000 to help children and families in need. What an inspiring example of compassion in action!

A special thank you to Xander Klein and Chase Atkins for your vision, leadership, generosity and creativity in bringing this event to life. Your advocacy is making a real difference and showing what’s possible when young people step up to serve others.

In thriving communities like Palm Beach County, it is easy to believe that homelessness, child abuse, and human trafficking are problems that happen elsewhere.

They are not.

These issues exist locally, and when left unaddressed, their impact reaches far beyond the individuals directly affected.

Homeless youth and vulnerable young mothers often remain unseen in affluent areas, yet unresolved trauma contributes to rising crime, strained schools, increased health care costs, and long-term reliance on public services. Without stability, education, and support, the cycle repeats — and communities ultimately bear the cost for generations.

For 25 years, Place of Hope has worked to break that cycle through prevention, intervention, and accountability, impacting more than 500,000 lives as it provides safety, housing, and support to those most at risk of homelessness, abuse, and exploitation.

One of Place of Hope’s critical programs is Joann’s Cottage, a maternity home for pregnant teens and young mothers who are homeless, aging out of foster care, and/or recovering from exploitation. Early intervention is essential, as young women in crisis face heightened instability, and their children are at far greater risk of entering foster care or experiencing abuse or trafficking.

“In a time when 50% of our nation’s homeless population are former foster children, supporting Place of Hope’s mission is critically important to us,” said Jim and Faiza Frownfelter, longtime supporters of the organization.

The organization’s measurable outcomes and financial stewardship have earned national recognition, including consistent top rankings from Charity Navigator, GuideStar, and Chick-fil-A’s True Inspiration Award.

For many community leaders and philanthropists, involvement began at Place of Hope’s signature events. One of the organization’s most anticipated gatherings was its annual spring celebration, the Place of Hope Lexus Hope Bash, held as part of its 25-year Jubilee.

This year’s Hope Bash was supported by partners, including Lexus, Jim and Faiza Frownfelter, Paddock Family Foundation, Vertical Bridge, and many others. The event was co-chaired by Marla Paxson, Nicole Paxson and Dr. Arghavan Welch.

Place of Hope’s long-term sustainability is further strengthened through the “God’s Children. Our Future.” Campaign, a $100-million initiative supporting operations, expansion, and endowment growth.

There are many ways to help — through giving, volunteering, partnerships, and/or visiting to see the mission firsthand. Spring into action. Invest locally — and help break the cycle for good.

We are celebrating one of the incredible leaders behind our mission — Danielle Stanton, Director of Villages of Hope in Martin County.

Danielle plays a vital role in leading the programs that support young adults and families on their journey toward stability and independence. Through her leadership, residents are equipped with life skills, resources, and encouragement to build brighter futures. Her dedication, compassion, and heart for serving others truly reflect the mission we live out every day.

Prior to her role at Villages of Hope, Danielle and her husband Marcus were Cottage Parents on two of of our campuses loving on and modeling for our foster youth safety, stability and family.

We are so excited we are just weeks away from the opening of our Smith Brothers Family Foundation Residences and our Snyder Family Residences — beautifully constructed apartments designed to provide safety, stability, and a fresh start for local young adults who have aged out of foster care, are experiencing homelessness, or are single parents striving to rebuild their lives. These two complexes are located in our Lane Family Village on our Bender Family Campus in Stuart.

The young men and women who will be moving in have faced unbelievable challenges, yet they continue to show strength, resilience, and determination. But we cannot accept them in until we have their residences stocked with everything you need moving into your first apartment!

Each residence needs to be fully furnished and supplied with essential everyday items. Your generosity helps transform these empty spaces into warm, welcoming homes where young adults can focus on healing, working toward independence, and building a future filled with promise.

By shopping from our Wish List, you are helping a young adult step confidently into adulthood, supporting a single parent creating a safe environment for their child, and providing security and dignity to someone who has never had a place to call their own.
