| A Letter from our Executive Director |
|
Dear Friends,
As we stepped into our annual planning retreat this year, our team found itself united by a renewed sense of purpose and hope. In the spirit of thoughtful discernment, we asked how we might serve even more faithfully—especially those families facing the steepest hurdles.
Out of that conversation came a deep commitment to expanding career‑education opportunities, whether through college pathways or certification programs that open doors to sustainable employment. We also affirmed that if we are serious about breaking the cycle of generational poverty and homelessness, we must walk intentionally with the teens in our programs, nurturing their vision for a different future. In the months ahead, we will strengthen partnerships with organizations already doing transformative work, recognizing that collaboration multiplies impact.
We are grateful that this commitment is already bearing fruit. This year, we have begun sharing services and providing transitional housing for families being served by Mary’s Home and Project LIFT—an example of what becomes possible when our community works together.
As we look forward to an incredible year ahead, I am reminded that our progress is never ours alone. It is the faith community and our agency partners who make this mission not only possible, but fruitful. When we put God first in all we do, we receive the courage, creativity, and discernment required to innovate with compassion and serve with integrity.
If you would like to learn more about our services, please call us at 772‑266‑9327 or email info@mcfamilypromise.org.
Thank you for walking beside us in this work.
God's Blessings & Peace,
Madeleine Bozone

Thankful Tuesdays & Thursdays are not your typical evening out.
A few times a year, Family Promise of Martin County invites small groups (8–10 guests) to gather for an intimate night of connection, conversation, and perspective. It starts simply—with wine, charcuterie, and good company—but quickly becomes something unexpected.
Guests step into an experience that challenges what we think we know about homelessness in our own community. You’ll observe. You’ll ask questions. You may feel a little uncomfortable. And you won’t always know what’s real… and what’s not.
Only at the end do we come together to reflect, share, and learn how Family Promise walks alongside families facing housing instability every day.
Limited dates. Limited seats. Powerful impact. Curious? You’re supposed to be. Bring friends, and those you think need to know what's happening in Martin County. Available dates are shown below.

Program Updates
December and January at a glance |
|
| December was a month full of connection with our families. Instead of our usual program nights focused on education, we hosted a special evening filled with hot cocoa, holiday crafts, gifts, and fun photo opportunities—a night all about celebrating togetherness and holiday cheer. |
|
|
| In January, our families focused on Understanding Credit, taking time to review their credit reports and build awareness around their financial standing. As we move forward, 2026 is our Year of Budgeting at Family Promise. Throughout the year, we’ll be investing time, energy, and resources into helping families understand the importance of smart budgeting and wise spending. To kick things off, each family received a book on mindful money management—and we added a little fun by challenging them to read it for a chance to win a prize! |

| VOLUNTEER UPDATES & NEEDS |
|
| Some of our friends at Expert Shutters |
|
Each and every month, we take a moment to recognize the incredible volunteers who serve alongside us with such dedication and heart. This month, we’re sending our deepest thanks to:
Target, Complete Care Chiropractic, TC3 9:30 Women's Bible Study Group, Mariner Sands Chapel,
First United Methodist Church of Stuart, and IRSC
for making our families holidays special
We'd also like to thank Jack, Jenna Hasgrove, Lindsay Creach, Lorna DuPlooy, Jill White, Billy Maritt, Barney Salzberg, Barb Hittle, Sweet Smoke BBQ, Colab Farms, Lon King, Bev and Jere Williams, David Damico, and Expert Shutters
From a newly installed bike rack to nights filled with donated meals, December was marked by generosity in every form. Families were sponsored, presents were wrapped and delivered, Christmas trees and gift cards were provided, and children experienced the joy of the holidays knowing they were seen and supported.
Throughout December and January, our behind-the-scenes Family Center Angels stepped in, donating their time to open our Family Center so shelter families could shower, do laundry, and simply take a breath. Volunteers cooked meals, donated food, gave gifts, and showed up again and again— proving that support isn’t just about resources, but about presence.
A special thank-you to Colab Farms, who continue to deliver fresh produce to the Family Center each week, including arugula, romaine, bok choy, tomatoes, and even a few Florida avocados. We love being able to share fresh, healthy options with our families. |
