New Signs, New Look!
Have you spotted them yet? The City of Stuart is getting a fresh update with 8 brand-new signs—5 district signs and 3 vertical gateway signs—adding even more charm to our city!
As first envisioned in the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) 2022 Annual Report, this project set out to give Stuart’s entry points a much-needed glow-up! The old signs were a bit on the shy side—too small to make a statement and missing that "Welcome to Stuart" charm. The CRA wanted something bolder, something that truly captured the spirit of our city. After three rounds of community input in 2021 and 2022, the people spoke loud and clear: the “Wave” design was the winner! With that, the CRA got to work turning vision into reality, crafting a family of gateway, downtown, and district signs that make arriving in Stuart and the various districts feel like something special.
These beauties will be fully installed over the next two weeks, becoming permanent members of our Stuart family. Keep an eye out as they make their debut and let us know when you see them!
And. don't be bashful! Selfies with the new signs are highly encouraged! |

STUART FIRE RESCUE UPDATE
City Departments Receive AED Training
This week, Stuart Fire Rescue began making the rounds in city departments to ensure all staff know how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Every second counts in a cardiac emergency and having the right training can mean the difference between life and death. That’s why AED training is a critical skill for both first responders and everyday citizens.
AEDs are designed to be easy to use, guiding users with clear voice and visual prompts to deliver a potentially life-saving shock to someone in cardiac arrest. With proper training, individuals can quickly assess a victim’s condition, apply the AED, and perform CPR, dramatically increasing survival rates before emergency responders arrive.
Why AED Training Matters:
• Fast Action Saves Lives – Using an AED within minutes of cardiac arrest can double or even triple survival rates.
• Easy to Learn, Easy to Use – Training provides hands-on practice, ensuring confidence in an emergency.
• Widely Available – AEDs are commonly found in public places like schools, offices, and shopping centers. (The city has installed AEDs at both Guy Davis Sports Complex and Sailfish Ball Park. If needed, follow the signs on the AEDs)
Being trained in AED use empowers individuals to act quickly and gives victims a real chance at survival. Consider taking a local AED and CPR training course—you never know when you might be the difference between life and loss.
