We had a very successful 5th week of session and have had a lot of movement with the following bills:

My other bills still in motion:

It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway done with the session, but I couldn’t be prouder of our progress. Here are some pictures I have to share with you all!
Over the weekend, Maggie and I had an incredible evening raising money for the Moffitt Cancer Center at the 2026 Magnolia Ball. The facility is expanding to Polk County, and the plans to treat 1,000’s more with new and emerging technologies is incredibly exciting….and Ziggy was amazing! Here Maggie and I are with The Moffits.
This week I had a great time jumping on Power Play with Chairman Evan Power. We had all types of conversations, from local-to-state politics and my journey getting here.
Tune in at: Power Play! Episode 11 with Representative Toby Overdorf
Thank you to Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA) for taking the time to discuss issues impacting health information management and healthcare data.
My meeting with the National Alliance on Mental Illness was very eye-opening. Mandy Pinckley piloted and launched the first virtual, neurodivergent-led support group within NAMI. Their support groups have helped many individuals across Martin and St. Lucie counties, and I’m looking forward to how I can further support their efforts. Thank you for the beautiful carnation flower!
Here I am on Tuesday, presenting my Gubernatorial Transition bill, it passed favorably and is now headed to the House Floor!
Wonderful meeting with the Children’s Advocacy Center, thank you for making this trip up to Tallahassee and all you do for our youth.
Miami-Dade County Day was all about tradition and innovation!
The St. Lucie County Boys and Girls Club hosted a lovely reception at the Historic Capitol. The next day, I had the pleasure of being able to show them around the House Chamber. Thank you for coming by, you all are welcomed any time!
I had a productive talk with the Florida Nonprofit Alliance about property taxes and what the future and solution could look like for residents and management.
Where it all started!
Here’s a peek into Marion County Day on Wednesday!
GOP Chairman Gruters in the house at "FSUHoops" with Jon Martin.
Thank you to these wonderful ladies from Catholic Days at the Capitol.
Here with a very bright group of student government leaders from Indian River State College to talk about county-based legislature.
Wednesday morning, Representative McFarland and I presented HB951- "One-Cent Piece" Bill that also passed favorably in the Insurance & Banking Subcommittee. Rep McFarland has done a phenomenal job with this bill, and I am proud to be a prime co-sponsor of it.
Check out the article Florida Politics published about this bill:

Amazing team from FL Swimming Pool Association (FSPA), thanks for stopping by for a chat.
Thank you to the FL Federation of Republican Women for having me. Our open discussion was awesome, and I look forward to hearing more from you ladies in the future.
