TAX FILING MADE EASY: SENIORS

This tax season, America’s seniors are witnessing historic relief. By passing the Working Families Tax Cuts, we stopped unprecedented tax hikes, and it’s a big win for seniors.
For too long, those on fixed incomes have felt the squeeze of rising costs and inflation. This legislation delivers relief by providing up to a $6,000 additional deduction for individuals and $12,000 for married couples—on top of the existing standard deduction.
The result? Nearly 88 percent of Social Security beneficiaries will pay no federal income tax on their benefits.
The Social Security Administration’s services are improving too—reducing their average field office wait time 23 percent compared to the previous year. During the Biden Presidency, the Administration’s website was often offline for roughly 29 hours a week, every single week, and now that number is zero.
All of this eases the tax burden, provides more financial breathing room, and a greater peace of mind for seniors who have spent decades working hard, saved responsibly, and contributed to the growth of our nation.
