Have you heard of Dr. Charles Drew? Known as the “Father of Blood Banking,” Dr. Drew was the first African American to receive a postdoctoral degree from Columbia University before going on to lay the foundation for modern blood donation. It’s thanks to his work that your donation can save up to three lives!
