ATTN Floridians! Florida Block Grant Disaster Relief Program Applications Open February 25th

Beginning February 25, 2026, eligible agricultural producers can apply for grants through the Florida Block Grant Disaster Relief Program.

Senator Rick Scott has fought in the U.S. Senate to make sure that Florida's agriculture industry gets the assistance that it needs from our federal government after natural disasters. That's why he introduced the Block Grant Assistance Act, which provides authority for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to issue block grants to agriculture producers devastated by natural disasters like Hurricanes Ian, Nicole, Debby, Helene, and Milton.
Today, Senator Scott’s office is excited to announce that Florida is the first state in the nation to finalize an agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to implement recently authorized disaster block grant funding for agricultural producers. The Block Grant Disaster Relief Program will provide more than $600 million in funding to support Florida’s hurricane-impacted producers, much like the proposal outlined in Senator Scott’s bill. This funding represents approximately 35% of Florida’s total agricultural losses and damage from the 2023 and 2024 hurricane seasons (Hurricanes Idalia, Debby, Helene and Milton).
These disaster block grants will issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service (FDACS), which is a state agency. Please be aware that our office can assist you only with documents issued by the federal government.

If you need to contact FDACS, click HERE or HERE. For more information about the Florida Block Grant Disaster Relief Program, click HERE for  FDACS' online information hub or HERE for FDACS' FAQ.

Senator Scott encourages all Floridians to visit his website for information or help with federal agencies. For help with a federal agency, click HERE
