Annual Advisory Board Appreciation Event
A heartfelt thank you to our City of Stuart Advisory Board Members for your dedicated volunteer service this year. Your contributions play a vital role in shaping our community and its future.
Advisory Board Members are appointed to serve one-year terms and must be current residents or property owners within the city limits, as well as over the age of 18. We appreciate the time and expertise you bring to these roles.
To celebrate our 2024 board members, we enjoyed a relaxing sunset Tiki Taxi Ride on the scenic St. Lucie River—a small token of appreciation for your hard work and commitment.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening. Your efforts and enthusiasm are truly valued!

Fire Station 3 Ready to Serve
The City of Stuart's newest addition, Fire Station 3, is now fully operational and set to serve the residents and businesses of North Stuart. Fire safety personnel and equipment, previously stationed at Haney Creek Park, transitioned yesterday (Friday, Dec. 5, 2024) into the state-of-the-art, 6,561-square-foot facility. The new station represents a $4.5 million investment in public safety.
Designed by CAPTEC Engineering and constructed by Hooks Construction Company, construction began in October 2023. The station is situated on a 1.78-acre site along Green River Parkway, just south of Jensen Beach Boulevard.
The facility will house four to five fire rescue personnel per shift, ensuring round-the-clock emergency response.
The City of Stuart Fire Rescue Department, established in 1915, proudly holds an ISO Class 1 rating—an elite fire-suppression designation achieved by less than 1% of fire departments nationwide. This distinction reflects the department's commitment to excellence and safety.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for January 2025, with the exact date to be announced soon. |
