Dear Hopers,
We’re in full Thanks-Giving mode at House of Hope this November. As we get ready to help families in need throughout our community, we’re also feeling very grateful for all of the ways that our generous community helps us!
Whether you donate, volunteer, or attend our events, we are thankful. It’s only with your help that we can fulfill our mission.
As our CEO, Rob, wrote in his monthly column for Friends & Neighbors, we are supported by a caring community that gives their time, talent and treasure to help us to empower residents to overcome hunger and hardship. Our most recent fiscal year closed on September 30th, and thanks to our amazing donors, partners, volunteers and staff, it was another year of growth and impact as we continue to strive to make a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors.
Check out those amazing numbers of generosity, compassion and impact in this newsletter.
Still willing to do more? We have exciting opportunities coming up for planting an orchard, attending or sponsoring Cirque du Soirée, assisting with a food drive at St. Joseph Catholic Church, or taking a chance on our very special Christmas tree.
From all of us to all of you, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Gratefully,
House of Hope |

House of Hope is excited to receive a generous donation of 80 fruit trees, which will greatly expand our ability to serve the community with fresh, healthy produce. To make this happen, we need helping hands!
Join us on Sunday, December 15, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, as we plant these trees on land graciously provided by Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
This is a fantastic, family-friendly opportunity, so bring your children aged 10 and up. Please arrive about 10 minutes early to complete the volunteer form. Note that closed-toed shoes are required for your safety (crocs are not permitted).
Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. And be sure to bring a hat and apply sunscreen because we’ll be working outdoors. We will provide water, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Restrooms are available on-site.

Hurricane Milton and devastating tornadoes left many in Martin County without homes, basic necessities, or means of transportation. The need for support was – and remains – urgent.
In his Friends & Neighbors column titled 'Hope in Our community', Rob Ranieri, our CEO, explained how House of Hope was leading relief efforts to help those in need and was itself in need of donations of essentials like clothes, toiletries, and funds to help affected families start to rebuild their lives.

November’s column highlights all that we are thankful for here at House of Hope. When we lay out our year in numbers, it assures us that we and our community have lots to celebrate. Rob reminds us that, “None of the successes listed here would be possible without our community. All of us at House of Hope are proud and grateful to be the vehicle for so much kindness, compassion and generosity.”

House of Hope is grateful to Tom Campenni, founder of the Friends & Neighbors digital newspaper, for the opportunity to keep our community informed and connected to our mission to empower Martin County! |
