Stuart, FL - South Fork High School is set to host an exciting "Shark Tank"-style event on Tuesday, December 17, where students from the school's Building Construction Technology Academy will present the projects they have been diligently working on. This event provides students an opportunity to pitch their innovative ideas and demonstrate their skills to an audience of faculty, peers, and industry professionals.
The event will take place in the school’s media center, with three sessions throughout the day:
- First session: 10:00 AM – 11:08 AM
- Second session: 11:12 AM – 12:02 PM
- Third session: 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
Throughout these sessions, students will showcase their construction projects, ranging from hands-on builds to design concepts, allowing them to practice presenting their ideas and problem-solving abilities in a professional setting. The Shark Tank-style format will feature students pitching their projects to a panel of judges, simulating real-world scenarios in the construction industry where innovation, presentation skills, and practical application are key to success.
The Building Construction Technology Academy at South Fork High School is designed to provide students with the skills and experience they need to immediately enter the workforce upon graduation. Through hands-on learning, students gain valuable expertise in construction techniques, safety standards, project management, and more. Additionally, students have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications making them highly employable in a competitive job market.
