FIGHTING TO PUT AMERICA FIRST

Image
Joseph -
It has been another busy week here in Washington. Secretary of State Antony Blinken finally appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee. It took a subpoena and threat of holding him in contempt of Congress to get him there.
During the hearing, I asked Blinken why it’s appropriate to send $3 billion of YOUR tax dollars to Afghanistan when we don’t even have an embassy there and have no means to conduct proper oversight. The answer I got was shocking.
On a personal note, I’m honored to share some exciting news. This week, my colleagues in the Republican Conference elected  me to serve as the next chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
Whether on the battlefield or in Congress, I’ve always fought for this country. Now, I’m ready to take that fight to a new level by ensuring every dollar and every diplomat puts America first.
Lastly, as someone who has faced the challenges of navigating airport security, I understand how grueling it can be—especially for veterans with service-related injuries. That’s why I was proud to vote for a bill that will provide TSA PreCheck to severely injured or disabled veterans.
This isn’t just about convenience. For these warriors, it’s about dignity, respect, and removing unnecessary barriers to travel.
