WEEK IN REVIEW: RESTORING PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH

It was a full week in Washington as Congress was back in session. From the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to our first Foreign Affairs Committee Member Day Hearing of this 119th Congress, we accomplished a lot.
The NDAA is an important piece of legislation that funds the U.S. Department of War, and we made sure this bill spent our tax dollars responsibly. Now, it moves on to the Senate before it can be signed by the President. Likewise, in the Foreign Affairs Committee this week, we held a Member Day Hearing, giving every representative an opportunity to be heard and offer up pieces of legislation that are important to them and that will help the U.S. project strength on the global stage.
