Dear Friends,
As the fall season settles in and committee weeks begin in Tallahassee, October was a month full of momentum, community, and collaboration. Our team hit the ground running as we began preparing for the upcoming Legislative Session, focusing on property taxes, infrastructure, and the priorities that matter most to Floridians.
Back home and across the state, we met with local leaders, attended community events, and heard directly from constituents about their ideas and concerns. These conversations continue to shape the work we do and ensure that our efforts in Tallahassee reflect the needs of the people we serve.
It’s been a productive and engaging month, and I look forward to building on this progress as we move closer to the 2026 Legislative Session.
Throughout October, our office also hosted multiple constituent meetings, welcoming several community groups and individuals seeking assistance with state agencies, as well as those eager to share legislative ideas and concerns. These discussions are always valuable opportunities to hear directly from residents about the issues that matter most to them. |

In October, I was honored to attend and speak at the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers Luncheon in St. Augustine. It was a great opportunity to connect with clerks and comptrollers from across the state to discuss the upcoming legislative session, share updates from the Capitol, and hear directly about the issues impacting their offices and the constituents they serve.
I appreciate the invitation from FCCC leadership and the continued partnership between our offices as we work together to strengthen accountability, transparency, and efficiency in government. |

| I also had the opportunity to attend and speak at the Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) Water Forum, where I moderated the Wetlands Permitting: Species, Lines & Litigation panel. This event brought together environmental experts, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss the complexities of Florida’s water management, regulatory challenges, and conservation priorities. |

| This month, I had the opportunity to attend delegation meetings in both Martin and St. Lucie Counties, where local leaders, organizations, and residents shared their priorities and perspectives ahead of the upcoming Legislative Session. These meetings are always a great reminder of the collaboration and community engagement that make our region strong. I appreciate everyone who took the time to present, advocate, and contribute to these important discussions. |

Later in October, I had the privilege of attending the Gala in Support of Mental Health Awareness Month at Mar-a-Lago, hosted by the American Hindu Jewish Congress. The evening brought together leaders, advocates, and medical professionals united in their dedication to advancing mental health awareness and access to care.
It was inspiring to hear from such passionate voices and to connect with Representative Meg Weinberger and others who share a deep commitment to improving mental health resources across our state and nation. |

I had the opportunity to speak at the Joint Professional Societies Legislative Breakfast in Palm Beach Gardens. This event brought together local engineers, planners, and community leaders for thoughtful discussion on infrastructure, workforce development, and regional growth.
It was a great chance to connect directly with professionals who help shape the future of our communities and to share updates on key legislative priorities ahead of the upcoming session. I appreciate the invitation and the continued collaboration between our professional societies and state leaders. |

Our team also attended the Speak Life – End Bullying presentation at Jensen Beach High School, an inspiring program focused on promoting kindness, respect, and positive communication among students. This initiative provides a powerful platform for our youth to learn about the impact of their words and actions, encouraging empathy and unity both in and outside the classroom.
It’s always encouraging to see schools and community partners come together to empower the next generation with the tools to create a more compassionate and supportive environment for all students. |

| In October, I had the opportunity to attend the LAMP National Summit in Washington, D.C. The event brought together state leaders, experts, and innovators from across the country to share ideas and collaborate on solutions to today’s most pressing challenges. |

To close out the month, I attended the Women’s Federation of Republican Women Breakfast in Daytona Beach, hosted by the Florida Federation of Republican Women. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with dedicated women leaders from across the state who are working to strengthen civic engagement, promote leadership, and support commonsense policies that benefit Florida families.
I’m always encouraged by the energy and commitment of those who continue to advocate for their communities and help shape the future of our state through active involvement and service. |

This month, our team was proud to help resolve a complex insurance billing issue for a local children’s occupational therapist. She reached out to our office after months of struggling to receive payments from a healthcare insurance provider, which was creating a significant financial strain.
Our team worked closely with the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), collaborating over several months to identify the root of the problem and ensure her claims were properly processed. We’re happy to share that the issue has been successfully resolved, allowing her to continue her vital work serving children in our community.
It’s always rewarding to see our constituent services make a real difference in the lives of those we represent. |
|
As always, thank you for your continued support and faith in my leadership! I look forward to sharing with you again soon.
Sincerely,
Rep. Toby Overdorf |
