Dear Friends,
September was a busy and exciting month filled with events, visits, tours, and speaking opportunities across the district. From connecting with community partners to engaging with local leaders, each stop provided a meaningful chance to listen, learn, and share updates.
We also hosted several constituent meetings, giving residents the opportunity to voice their concerns, share ideas, and receive direct assistance from our office. These conversations remain at the heart of our work and guide the priorities we carry forward.
I also traveled to Tallahassee for the first round of Property Tax Committee meetings. These important discussions set the stage for the work ahead as we prepare for another full schedule of committee weeks in October.
With so much happening locally and at the Capitol, September was both fun and productive—and it's clear the momentum is only building as we head into fall. |

We discussed key issues impacting our states and communities, explored opportunities for collaboration, and shared ideas to strengthen our policy work back home. Representing Florida in these important conversations was a privilege! I look forward to carrying the insights gained there back to the district while continuing to support the President's vision and leadership for our country. |

Our office was honored to recently help a bright young student, the daughter of a veteran, who is chasing her dream of becoming a doctor. This determined pre-med scholar hit an unexpected roadblock with her veteran's scholarship, which helps children and spouses of deceased or disabled veterans pursue their education.
The student didn't let this get in her way. She reached out to us, and our team worked hand-in-hand with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Education to make sure everything was set right. Now, she can focus on her studies with the peace of mind that her hard work will be supported.
Stories like hers remind us why we do this work—because behind every form or phone call is a young person with a dream, a family that sacrificed, and a community rooting for their success. |
|
As always, thank you for your continued support and faith in my leadership! I look forward to sharing with you again soon.
Sincerely,
Rep. Toby Overdorf |
