Dear Friends,
October is here and we have lots to look forward to. We have football weekends, fall festivities, and a huge election coming up.
September was packed with events and community involvement. We also suffered from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton hitting our state and causing havoc. Maggie and I are praying daily for the safety and health of those impacted by the storms. |

| In September, I was able to attend the opening game for FAU against Army. Although our team didn't win, it was great to see my friends Frank Brogan and Sherry Plymaleat at the game. |
|
| I was able to attend and provide legislative updates and priorities to the local Palm Beach chapter of the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP). |
|
| The team and I were able to join the Martin County Emergency Response Team to learn more about their work and how to be prepared for storms that may impact our district. |
|
| My team had the opportunity to attend the Place of Hope Freedom Future event. Place of Hope is an incredible organization and provides great services to many in our community. |
|
| The team was also able to attend an event for the Treasure Coast Food Bank. It is great to support wonderful organizations in our community that do so much for residents in need. |
|
| My staff had the pleasure of attending another great event at the Elliott Museum. It is such an incredible asset to our community! |
|
| My staff had the honor of participating in the 9/11 walk to commemorate those who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Although it was a somber day of remembrance, it was wonderful to see the community come together to pay tribute to the fallen. |

| I was able to attend Governor Ron DeSantis' press conference in West Palm Beach. The Governor is taking a stand and making sure that there is a thorough investigation into the recent attempt on President Donald Trump's life. |
|
| I and my team were able to attend the grand opening of the Port St. Lucie Museum and Education Center. Looking forward to the positive impact it will have on our community! You need to stop by and see the historical items associated with the City of Port St. Lucie. |

| I was able to attend and participate in the Del Webb Econ Club Entrepreneur Showcase with Mark Schug and Wayne Landry. I was joined by Hazmat Caroline and Emily McHugh. What a great event hosted by my good friend Terissa Aronson! |

| In September, I was also able to attend the 2024 Annual Installation Gala for the Stuart-Martin Chamber of Commerce. What an incredible organization that supports our community. |
|
| I truly enjoyed visiting Washington, D.C.! I was the only Florida legislator invited to the Rainey Center LAMP Summit. It was wonderful to attend the National Sportsmen's Caucus dinner, watch the Marlins beat the Nationals, and tour our nation's capital. Maggie and I also celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary that same week! |

Constituent Services:
We had a retired gentleman call our office seeking information and help on understanding his property taxes. We were able to put him in touch with the county tax appraiser's office which could provide him with the answers he was looking for. We also encouraged him to reach out to Florida Insurance Advocacy to see if he could save on his homeowners insurance.
