Stuart, FL - The Martin County School District (MCSD) will reopen all District-operated schools and offices on Monday, October 14 following the impact of Hurricane Milton. The majority of MCSD campuses were fortunately spared from receiving any severe damage and have been cleared for a safe return to classes.
Murray Middle School did receive significant damage to the school's band and chorus rooms. However, thanks to our team's cleanup efforts, students and staff will be able to return on Monday, utilizing areas of the campus that were unaffected.
The safety of students and staff remains the top priority of the Martin County School District, and we are committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment as repairs continue. Our thoughts and prayers are with our families and neighbors as we all continue to rebuild from Hurricane Milton.
The District is partnering with the Martin County Education Foundation to support our affected students and staff. Donations to the Milton Crisis Fund will directly support families and employees as we navigate through this difficult time. We are immensely grateful for the outpouring of support during this challenging period. As we assess ongoing needs and provide assistance, we will keep our community informed.
