| Sen. Rick Scott Celebrates National School Choice Week |
Dear Fellow Floridian,
Throughout National School Choice Week, I want to thank Florida’s school boards, teachers, administrators, and staff for all that you do to partner with parents to provide students with an education that best fits them. As we recognize this week, we celebrate your dedication and commitment to providing students with a world-class education, whether in a public, private, charter or home school.
Growing up, my mom always taught us the importance of working hard and getting a good education. These principles changed my life and enabled me to live the American Dream. As Governor, I worked hard to expand school choice to all Florida families through open enrollment, virtual learning options, and investments in charter schools. Now, as your U.S. Senator, I’m working to bring Florida’s successful model nationwide, so every family has a choice, which is why I’ve been proud to cosponsor the National School Choice Week Resolution and support policies dedicated to school choice.
Again, thank you for your dedication to helping our students succeed. Florida’s students are the future of our nation, and I value your commitment to their success.
