Reminder: Rep. Toby Overdorf - Second Week of Session

Dear Friends,

We’re really hitting the ground running in the second week of session — it’s amazing how fast time is moving.

This week, I had the opportunity to present several bills and help host Treasure Coast residents who made the trip to Tallahassee. It was so invigorating to see everyone here and to finally connect face-to-face.

Seeing how many people are involved, engaged, and truly wanting to make a difference in their communities and across our state is incredibly meaningful. Moments like these are a reminder of why this work matters.

Thank you for supporting me throughout this process. Here’s to another busy and productive week ahead. Please enjoy this recap of everything it entailed.

Excited to share with you all some great pics from this week!
One of my most active roles is being on the Industries and Professional Subcommittee. I cherish holding a seat here, because I get to have a say firsthand on proposed bills that directly affect the jobs and affordability of our state. In this picture, I'm expressing my gratitude to Representative Trabulsy for filing HB 803 to upgrade and simplify Florida’s building permit and inspection process so homeowners and contractors aren’t burdened by unnecessary delays.
I am consistently committed to finding ways to improve healthcare outcomes because we deserve better. I greatly appreciated BayCare Health’s time to meet with me and discuss certain health care legislation and graduate medical education.
The Florida Young Republicans and I got the chance to connect this week. I’m always excited to exchange their perspective for policy discussion.
Thank you to the Republican Liberty Caucus for stopping by, it's always a pleasure!
I must make a notable mention of Florida's Electric Cooperative. I had a wonderful night. Community is the core of their sustainable efficiency, and there was nothing short of community between all their members I met with at their event.
Here I am at the Insurance and Banking Subcommittee, where my fellow Representatives are presenting their bills, taking questions, and alleviating concerns. My priority is to always ensure these discussions are protecting consumers, strengthening our financial systems, and reflecting the needs of the people I serve.
Happy Birthday Florida State University! Even though I am a Florida Atlantic Alum, FSU Day was so memorable and Tallahassee wouldn't be Tallahassee without the Noles. I love getting the chance to celebrate this day every session, I will miss it!
Here with the Associated Builders and Contractors FL East Coast Chapter. These guys are amazing and are constantly showing up for their workforce development and construction industry–thank you for the productive discussion and continued partnership!
To the Treasure Coast Leadership Group,

From Jensen Beach to Port St. Lucie, I have so much gratitude for you all. Our conjoint effort and passion goes a long way, and I am so proud of the progress we’ve made and paved the way for future generations. I had such a great day celebrating ‘Treasure Coast Day at the Capitol’ and it ended with such a heartfelt night. I’m incredibly honored to receive this award from the Treasure Coast Leadership Group. Serving our community is a privilege I don’t take lightly.

Thank you for the trust you have placed in me and for allowing me to listen to your voices. I'm inspired by our people, guided by your faith, and always reminded that we are stronger together!
As always, thank you for your continued support and faith in my leadership! I look forward to sharing with you again soon.

Sincerely,

Rep. Toby Overdorf
