Rooted in Exceptional Nursing Care

A Message from Willam "David" Snyder, CEO

Evergreen Private Care didn’t begin as a business idea—it began as a calling, one I witnessed long before I ever imagined leading this organization.

As we begin 2026, I invite you to look back with me at the foundation of what makes Evergreen a trusted 5-star agency. Our roots are firmly grounded in skilled nursing and a deep commitment to developing the caregivers who make exceptional care possible.

A Message Kristin Munro, RN, Nurse Administrator

When families reach out to Evergreen, they’re often facing uncertainty—and that’s where nursing makes all the difference. As a Nurse Administrator, I see every day how nurse-led care brings reassurance, safety, and confidence to families navigating care at home.

In my blog, I share why nursing sits at the heart of everything we do at Evergreen, and how that commitment supports every client, every step of the way. I invite you to read more about what nursing care with heart truly means. ~ Kristin Munro, RN

What is a Private Duty Nurse?

The home environment clients are often no different than the patients that the same nurse may care for in a hospital. The only difference is that in-home care clients have long-term needs that can be provided for in their homes, helping them remain independent for as long as possible.

Not just older adults, but anyone with complex conditions or long-term needs may choose to utilize the services of a private duty nurse rather than move into a long-term care facility. There are other clients, such as disabled adults and children, who prefer to receive their nursing care in the comfort of their homes. Click here to learn more about Private Duty Nursing and what services to expect

Glaucoma Month

January is National Glaucoma Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about one of the leading causes of vision loss in older adults.

At Evergreen Private Care, we understand that vision changes—whether from glaucoma or other conditions—can significantly affect daily life, independence, and safety. Just as importantly, we know how challenging this can be for families who want to ensure their loved one remains safe and supported at home.

Senior Fraud Alert!

As reported in the news, there has been a recent increase in fraud and scams targeting older adults—often through phone calls, emails, text messages, or individuals posing as trusted professionals or even family members.

If you or a loved one suspects fraud:
·    Stop immediately. Do not send money or share personal or financial information.
·    Talk with someone you trust—a family member, caregiver, or care partner—right away.
·    If you are an Evergreen client, reach out to us. Every member of our team completes a rigorous Level 2 background screening, and our Clinical Care Coordinators are here to help guide you through concerns with your safety as our top priority.
·    Report the incident to local law enforcement and the National Elder Fraud Hotline at 1-833-FRAUD-11 (1-833-372-8311).

In cooperation with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs, you can also register for Operation Senior Shield, a free alert system designed to keep Floridians informed, aware, and protected against fraud.

At Evergreen Private Care, protecting seniors means caring for the whole person—safety, dignity, and peace of mind.

Learning Together, Caring Together

Recently, our clinical care team participated in an in-service led by Tasha Muscarella, Owner and Operator of Right There DME, a durable medical equipment company built on a simple but powerful principle—doing what’s right for the patient, always.

Tasha shared valuable insights on selecting and properly using medical equipment, with a strong emphasis on caregiver education to ensure safety, comfort, and positive outcomes in the home.

We believe continuous learning strengthens care and builds meaningful partnerships. Collaborating with like-minded providers such as Right There DME helps us better support our clients and the caregivers who serve them every day.

We’re grateful for partnerships that put patients first and reinforce our shared commitment to exceptional care.

Going the Extra Mile

We couldn't be more thrilled to share a shout-out to one of our newest caregivers serving clients across Citrus, Hernando and Levy counties.

Since joining our Ocala-based team, Jane has traveled hundreds of miles through some of Florida’s most rural areas—always with a smile and a caring heart.

She jumped right in, moving quickly from hire to training to caring for clients, many of whom are Veterans.

As Madison Turner, Office Services Director, shared: Jane shows up with reliability, compassion, and a true willingness to go the extra mile—literally. We’re so grateful to have her on the Evergreen team.
