FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 19, 2025
Stuart, FL – Beginning January 1, 2026, all Florida residents (who live inside and outside of Martin County) will have the opportunity to apply to attend any school in the A-Rated Martin County School District for the 2026-2027 school year through School Choice. This opportunity is available for all grade levels, including VPK and Kindergarten. The 2026-2027 school year begins August 10, 2026.
Martin County students are given priority over students who do not reside in Martin County. Students accepted into a school within the Martin County School District can continue attending through the highest grade level offered on the school’s campus. Families should note that students attending an out-of-zone school must provide their own transportation.
Families interested in applying can find complete details here. To apply for enrollment at school of their choice beginning January 1, 2026, families must complete the online application found in the FOCUS Parent Portal.
Applications completed by March 31, 2026, will receive the highest priority.
If a school or grade level at the school is at capacity, applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
