Palm City, FL – 11/12/2025 – The Equine Rescue and Adoption Foundation (ERAF) is proud to announce the appointment of Robin Doniger as the new President of the Board of Directors. Robin has been a dedicated member of the ERAF family for the past seven years, serving in multiple capacities, including Treasurer, volunteer, and horse adopter.
During her time at ERAF, Robin has contributed her time and talents to nearly every aspect of rescue operations—from horse care and barn work to photography, website design, and board governance. She is also the proud adopter of Gucci, a blind Appaloosa rescue horse who inspired her deep commitment to ERAF’s mission.
Robin explains her dedication and commitment to ERAF and to horse rescue with the words of a great woman and animal advocate, Jane Goodall.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.
What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”
With over 30 years of experience in business and technology management in the insurance and banking industries, Robin brings a wealth of leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills to her new role. Her career was defined by collaboration, integrity, and a focus on building strong teams—qualities that now guide her leadership at ERAF.
“Robin’s dedication, creativity, and leadership make her an outstanding choice to lead ERAF into its next chapter,” said Elaine Hines, Past President and acting Secretary of the Board. “Her commitment to our mission is unwavering.”
Also serving on ERAF’s Board of Directors with Robin Doniger and Elaine Hines are Directors Barbara Castaldo and Debra Vallely.
Barbara comes from a 35-year career in retail and wholesale with companies such as Lord & Taylor, Gucci, and Clinique before retiring in 2017. She brings a strong operational and management background. She joined ERAF as a volunteer in 2019 after attending an ERAF Open House.
Debra relocated to Florida from California in January 2022 and brings over 40 years of experience in the private and public sector including serving as Director of the Victim Witness Unit at a California District Attorney’s Office. She joined ERAF in March of 2022 and is an ERAF Champion sponsor of an off-the-track Thoroughbred, Skippy (Skip Right.)
