This Giving Tuesday comes at a critical moment for families and organizations across our community. Federal funding delays are creating a ripple effect that touches everyone, especially those who can least afford it.
For the families we serve at ARC of the Treasure Coast, many are already living on low incomes. When programs like SNAP are disrupted, parents struggle to put food on the table. That hardship directly impacts the children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who live at home and rely on our support.
Our dedicated staff—many earning minimum wage—are also feeling the strain. They too depend on food assistance to care for their own families. And while we collaborate with other service organizations to fill the gaps, those partners are facing overwhelming demand themselves.
Through it all, our mission remains unwavering: empowering children and adults with I/DD to achieve their fullest potential. Every day, we provide residential care, day training, transportation, behavioral services, employment programs, and after-school and summer programs. These services can’t wait. The people we serve depend on us—especially now.
That’s why your support this Giving Tuesday matters more than ever. Your gift helps us meet everyday program needs while also providing critical assistance to families and staff who are struggling. Even a small contribution can make a big difference.
You don’t have to be wealthy to be generous, you just have to be willing to lend a hand when others need it most.
Please consider visiting our Dream List or making a monetary donation to ARC of the Treasure Coast today. Together, we can ensure that, even in times of uncertainty, hope and compassion continue to thrive on the Treasure Coast.
On behalf of our board, staff, and families, thank you for believing in our mission and the very special people we serve.
