Treasure Coast Food Bank Welcomes Publix Associates for Inaugural Volunteer Event at New Facility

Fort Pierce, Fla (Sept. 19, 2025) — Treasure Coast Food Bank (TCFB) proudly hosted its first-ever volunteer group to its new 132,000-square-foot distribution center, hosting Publix associates as part of Publix Serves Week (Sept. 14-21). This milestone event marks the beginning of operations at the state-of-the-art facility, which is set to officially open later this fall, and celebrates over 20 years of impactful partnership with Publix.
On Thursday, Sept.18, more than 115 Publix associates rolled up their sleeves to help feed neighbors in need, continuing a legacy of service that has delivered millions of meals to children, families, and seniors across the Treasure Coast.
TCFB welcomed Publix associates, leadership, and special guest Publix President John Goff to our new home during Hunger Action Month and Publix Serves Week. In addition to their volunteer efforts, Publix generously presented a gift of $374,000 to support our mission of ending hunger in the community.
