One Week in Georgia Changed What Naomi Thought Was Possible!

"My favorite part was going to Coca-Cola World and trying out different soda flavors from each country."

Ask Naomi about her favorite part of family vacation and she will not tell you about the hotel or the pool. She will tell you about tasting sodas from countries she had never been to!

That is what she named as the best part of the whole trip!

She and her siblings spent a week in Atlanta. They learned that Georgia is a state they had only ever seen on a map, and that a city can look and sound completely different from the one they know here in South Florida.
At the World of Coca-Cola, they learned how a bottle is actually made, from the line that fills it to the label that goes on it. They read the ingredients that go in all the different flavors. They also learned that the same drink is made differently depending on where in the world it is sold, and then they were able to taste each one.

By the end of the week they were naming countries they had never heard of before that trip.

A child who has spent years in abusive or neglectful homes and is in survival mode does not know what the possibilities are. That is what a week like this is for: to widen what a child believes is out there for them.

Family vacation is a line item in our budget, and that is on purpose. New places and first experiences are not extras we add when there is money left over. For a child who has been through what our children have been through, they are proof that life holds good things and new things, and that proof gets built one trip at a time.

Naomi came home with a list of places she wants to see, and we cannot wait for her to experience more traveling with us, but none of this happens without you. Thank you for creating more possibilities for our children.

One of the young women in our program was recently gifted a car. For someone stepping into adulthood after foster care, this represents something deeply life changing.

It means getting to work consistently and building financial stability. It means making it to class, to appointments, and to interviews without depending on transportation that may not show up or asking for help that may not always be available.

When you support Place of Hope and Villages of Hope, you are not just meeting a need in the moment. You are removing the barriers that stand between a young woman and long term stability.

What The Numbers Are Saying

Human trafficking is not a distant problem. It is happening all across Florida, and it is happening in the very communities we serve, from Indian River to Boca Raton.

An estimated 540,000 people in Florida were victims of labor trafficking, 581,000 were exploited online, and 200,000 were trafficked for sex. The scale is larger than most people realize.

The children most at risk are often the ones already moving through systems that were supposed to protect them. Each number represents a person, and many of them are young people with no safe place to go.

This is exactly why we exist. Our impact is statewide, and our roots are local. Across Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast, we provide prevention, protection, and recovery services for children and youth at risk of exploitation.

Hope Bash Boca is Back

An evening that changes the trajectory of a child's life.

Join us on November 6, 2026 for Hope Bash Boca and be part of a story bigger than one night. When we invest in a child's future, we change the course of generations.

For 25 years, Place of Hope has stood in the gap for children who had no one standing in it for them.

Safe housing. Stability. Siblings kept together. Families found. But the need has not slowed, and every child who walks through our doors is waiting on someone to say yes!

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Sponsorship is how one night becomes a lifetime. Your partnership funds the care, the housing, and the programs that break generational cycles for good.
