Work is underway on the Downtown Stuart Streetscape and Undergrounding Project, which includes utility undergrounding and streetscape improvements on Seminole Street, Osceola Street, St. Lucie Avenue, and Colorado Avenue.
Last week loading and temporary delivery zones were established and both zones (locations below) are now in use.
• S.W. Flagler Avenue, adjacent to City Hall
• S.E. Osceola Street, east of South Colorado Avenue, next to Acacia Lodge and Oak & Ember
As a reminder, newly places signs indicate “No Parking” from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and vehicles parked in these zones during posted hours are subject to ticketing.
Parking options were included in last week's newsletter and can be viewed HERE.
Traffic Impacts: Week of 4/18/25
As part of the project, utility exploration will be taking place in the coming weeks. Expect lane closures, lane shifts, and flagmen on site. Please allow extra time for potential minor traffic delays.
⇨ S. Colorado Ave. from S.W./S.E. Seminole Street to S.E. Ocean Blvd., including the intersection of S. Colorado and Confusion Corners roundabout 4/21/25 to 4/24/25.
⇨ S.W. Flagler Ave. from S. Colorado Ave. to S.W. St. Lucie Ave., including the intersection of S.W. Flagler Ave./S.W. St. Lucie Ave. - 4/23/25 to 4/25/25.

"H" Season Is Coming - Are You Ready?
The Florida season we all wish we could forget—Hurricane Season—is just six short weeks away. While we hope for a quiet season, it's always best to prepare like a storm is headed our way.
Now is the perfect time to dust off or create your emergency plan, restock (or build) your disaster supply kit, and take a good look at your home and property. That means securing or reinforcing vulnerable areas, trimming trees and removing any dead or hazardous limbs, and making sure you know your evacuation zone. It’s also a good idea to review your homeowners and flood insurance to ensure you’re fully covered.
There are plenty of resources available to help you get storm-ready:
Let’s stay safe, stay smart, and prepare now—before the storms start spinning. |
