Sen. Rick Scott Fighting to Secure Our Elections and Pass the SAVE America Act

Dear Fellow Floridian,
Americans across our country are demanding change to make sure our elections are free, fair, and secure. Every U.S. citizen deserves to know their vote counts and their elected officials are fighting for AMERICA’S best interests. That is why I have been fighting hard with my good friend, Senator Mike Lee, to get the SAVE America Act passed.
This bill makes commonsense changes to secure our elections by requiring an ID to vote in our elections and ensuring only U.S. citizens can register to vote. It’s simple. You need an ID to drive, buy certain medicines, or even become a U.S. Senator, so why wouldn’t you need one to vote?
We’re seeing incredible support to get this done. Senator Mike Lee, Senator Ron Johnson, and I recently met with President Donald Trump and received his FULL support for the passage of the SAVE America Act.
Last week, I also had the honor of holding a press conference with the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections, Alina García and local leaders in Miami in support of safe, secure elections and the passage of the SAVE America Act.
We’re seeing overwhelming support! This important measure has already passed in the House of Representatives. Now, it’s time for the Senate to take action to pass the SAVE America Act so that we can ensure only U.S. citizens vote in our elections and require Voter ID to protect our democracy. Whatever it takes, I won’t stop until we get this done!
