Pup Crawl brings summer fun to downtown Stuart
STUART, Fla. — More than 160 Humane Society of the Treasure Coast supporters participated in the nonprofit organization’s 11th annual Pup Crawl, which was themed “Peace, Paws & Pints!”
They gathered in downtown Stuart and walked with their dogs to the six participating dog friendly bars in the downtown Stuart district: Duffy’s Sports Grill, Spritz City Bistro, Hudson’s on the River, Dirty South Bar, Taco Shack and Stack: Burgers-Bourbon. Each guest was given one free drink. The event raised nearly $9,000 to benefit the humane society’s shelter pets.
Guests also had the opportunity to compete in a costume contest. Foxy Roxy won the best dog, Mariah Aultz received the best human award, and the best human/dog duo was awarded to “The Pug Ladies,” Lisa Kerner with her pet, Betsey, and Viki Anders with her dogs, Barbie and Bob.
