Treasure Coast Hospice will host two free “Navigating Grief through the Holidays” Meet & Greets for community members who are grieving the loss of a loved one on Wednesday, November 4, at 1 p.m., in Stuart and Monday, November 9, at 11 a.m., in Ft. Pierce.
The holiday season can bring joy, but for those who have lost a loved one, it can also bring some of the year’s most difficult moments. The informal gatherings offer an introduction to the grief support resources available to individuals and families throughout the Treasure Coast. Attendees will receive practical tools for coping with grief during the holidays, learn about the full range of support services Treasure Coast Hospice provides to the community, and meet Treasure Coast Hospice grief counselors face-to-face in a relaxed, welcoming setting.
“The holidays often intensify feelings of loss, and no one should feel they have to face that alone,” said Regional Director of Psychosocial & Pediatric Services Jacki Nardone, LCSW-QS, ACHP-SW. “These Meet & Greets are a gentle first step. Whether someone has recently lost a loved one or has been grieving for some time, we want them to know that support is available and we are here for them.”
